Dr. Tom Lonsdale
Veterinarian (BVetMed MRCVS)
Dr Tom Lonsdale opened the Richmond Pet Health Centre in October 2016.
Back in the 1980s Dr Tom operated the original Richmond Veterinary Hospital. In those days heartworm disease was rife in the district. Tom developed a keen interest in the disease and was one of only two Australian vets who belonged to the American Heartworm Society.
Pet dental disease had always been a little understood cause for concern. In the 1980s Tom researched and studied this nasty disease affecting a majority of pets in the modern world. Breeding and jaw shape matter. But overall it's a JUNK FOOD DIET that is the main factor affecting pets.
Tom has been crusading for better pet care ever since he discovered the simple connection between diet, bad dental health and a host of other diseases arising from a diseased mouth.
